Smothered Chicken 3

1 cut up chicken
1 med chopped onion
1 med chopped bell pepper
3 tbs cooking oil
4 cups water
Seasoned salt to taste
Black pepper to taste

Season chicken on both sides. Put cooking oil in an iron pot. Fry chicken on both sides until light brown. Take cooking oil out of pot, leaving very little to coat the bottom. Add onions and bell peppers to pot and brown them. Add chicken, water, seasoned salt and black pepper to taste. Cook for 45 minutes on medium heat.
