Cheese Beignets

Finger Food
1/4 lb Gruyere Cheese
2 cups Salad Oil
1 Recipe Puff Dough

*** Prepare Puff Dough (see puff dough recipe) but do not bake or form into puffs. Grate cheese and add to dough. Heat oil in medium saucepan or deep skillet to 375F. Drop dough by spoonfuls into the hot oil. Brown on each side. Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve warm. Can be kept warm in a 200F oven on baking sheet.
