Cheese Crisps

1 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 cup (8 oz.) grated sharp cheddar cheese
2 cup sifted self-rising flour
2 cup Rice Krispies
1/4 tsp. red pepper

Preheat oven to 325F. Combine all ingredients; mix well. Form into small balls and place on cookie sheet. Press down with floured fork in crisscross fashion. Bake for about 20 minutes. Remove from baking sheet and cool on wire rack.

Makes about 9 dozen crisps
