Shrimp Tasso Fettuccine

3 pounds medium shrimp
1/2 lb butter
2 medium onions chopped fine
1 bunch green onion tops, chopped
1-1/2 tablespoons flour
1 quart whipping cream
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon red pepper
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
1/4 pound tasso, cut into
1/2 inch strips
Fresh fettuccine noodles

Peel and Devine shrimp. Set aside in refrigerator. Saute chopped onions and green onions until wilted, about 45 minutes. Add flour; stir well. Slowly add whipping cream, stirring into flour and onion mixture. Add seasonings and tasse. Cook 10-15 minutes on low heat. Add shrimp, cook 10-15 minutes on medium heat. Serve over cooked fettuccine.
