Quick Yam Pie

One 3-5/8 oz pkg vanilla pudding and pie filling mix
1 cup milk
1-1/4 cups Bruce's Mashed Yams
1 egg, separated
One 9-inch baked pastry shell
1 cup heavy cream, whipped
Pecan halves

Blend pudding mix and milk. Add yams and egg yolk; mix well. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Beat egg white until stiff, but not dry. Fold egg white into yam mixture. Turn into pastry shell. Chill thoroughly, and garnish with whipped cream and Pecan halves.
